I've been using Norton Utilities since God knows when and forgot that Windows comes with
the bare minimum in terms of utilities.
Settings.dat also keeps AFS and AEQ settings of files in the download pane, so it may be
good to keep a backup copy of that file at the end of a session.
WinMX .dat files:
- settings.dat: username, location, connection type, network settings (TCP, UDP ports,
proxy, etc), incoming folder name, AFS, AEQ, auto-responder, language, file transfer
settings, queueing preferences, bandwidth throttle, default file types shared, WinMX pane
layouts (float/dock), messaging privacy, chatroom favorites.
- contacts.dat: hotlist entries
- ignore.dat: ignored users
- opennapconfig.dat: internal OpenNap servers list and login setting.
