Which is of no use it I have my reader set to show only new posts.
It is considered appropriate to quote the post you are replying to.
Not everyone wants to look at hundreds or thousands of threads every time
they open a group. I use filters to make it easier and fater. I have my
reader set to not show posts I have already read, to not show posts from the
ignorant and stupid that post to various groups, and have filters to avoid
the spammers and those that
are known to propagate malware.
