Normalizing AAC (m4a) files with AACGAIN

Posted by Rubio on 05/16/06 15:31

I've ripped a few hundred CD's with iTunes and uploaded them on my
iPod. The problem is they are all of different loudness level. I
thought I could normalize them with AACGAIN. I've tried many different
command line options, but can't hear any difference in the processed
files. Some of the music are pop/rock, some are classical which
obviously have a wider dynamic range. Since iPod can produce very
limited sound pressures on my headphones, I'd like all songs to be as
loud as possible.
