Hello,
just report it to amazon, they will send a new disc without
you needing to send the faulty one back.
Their message system is webbased, but you get a copy of
your text as an email.
One of the reasons to buy at amazon: good service if anything
goes wrong.

I've had missing DVD's, defective DVD's and wrong packing (
2 DVD-Set, with one DVD missing, packed one twice). All
was resolved from amazon at their cost to my satisfaction,
without me ever needing to prove anything.
Of course I don't know what happens to you if you abuse
the system, reporting every second package missing or so,
I guess they would flag you and send registred mail.
One warning, you should remember to tell them to send it
the slow way. Otherwise you might pay import duty:
they put the normal value on the package, incl. p&p.
The last time to save troubly at the border, they even
put a normal value on the package, on the bill inside and
charged my credit card - and at the same time paid the
same amount back to the cc.
That way, the duty guards (? Zollbeamte in Germany) can
not complain, that no value is given or the wrong. VERY
good thinking!
