I found the software I was wanting that allows me to do as I wish - it is
a freeware program called GUI for DVDAuthor - available at -
http://www.videohelp.com/~gfd/
It creates Menus, creates VOBS, etc. - as long as you present it with any
type of valid demuxed MPEG1-2 file (will demux itself, but adds a bit of
time) and then goes to work. Gloriously dumb like IfoEdit. Or I should
say smart enough to allow me to create what I wish.
The next player I obtain will be even more flexible than the one I have
now. That is the way of devices, they are always addinf new
capabilities, never taking away.
