Thanks for all the input. I thought it might be something to do with
the lazer. It's an inexpensive COBY that I think came with a satellite
tv package. I may try to get in there and clean the lens just for the
heck of it to see if I can do it, but will probably replace it anyway.
If I can get it going, I'll have a backup.
