Wot 'e said. I'd just like to add that it *also* makes a difference if
you're talking about using a PC or a standalone DVD recorder. My
standalone (DVDR and HDD based recorder) seems to be able to burn at a
maximum of 4x (extrapolated from the time it takes to copy a full DVDs
worth of video from the HDD to DVD - there's no information as to speed
in the manual or on-screen) compared to the 16x burner in my PC.
