The difference is you are talking about different models of players. If
you buy a DVD player and it goes on sale later you can get a price
adjustment within a reasonable period of time.

I am giving Fox money for a complete set of MASH. Someone else gives
Fox money for a complete set of MASH. The only difference is that I
wasn't able to buy all 11 seasons in one shot so I get pissed on.
