I store my mp3 files in several folders + a few loose files. If I hold my
mouse pointer over any of the files, a box comes up telling me everything
about that file, including the playing time and the total size of the file.
However, holding the pointer over a folder gives only the size and the
identify of the first files in that folder. When I was using constant bit
rate coding, this was sufficient to determine playing time, by simply
dividing the size by the bit rate. Now that I'm using variable bit rate
coding, this relationship no longer applies.
Is there a program that enables one to add up the total playing time of all
the files and sub-folders in a particular folder? I'd like to be able to
keep track of the total playing time of all my music files.
Thanks,
Norm Strong
