Thanks for the comments. I would like to try wma but I can't find any flash
players that support it. Also, would it work 'out the box' on a Mac?

Embed isn't such a good solution for me as I want users to be able to click
a STOP button, but when I tried embedding the WMP buttons, they weren't
visible to Firefox.

Perhaps there is a way to embed a wma file or other, and add a GIF stop
button?

Interesting idea, but it wouldn't sound nice with my particular sounds.
