I have an Apex 1500. Worked great for a couple years, then on rentals
of new releases I'd get "Bad Disc" (they'd play fine in the computer
and the PlayStation) then I started getting that with NEW discs ( this
is NOT a disc issue).
Now it will NOT play any DVD, the dics do NOT even spin up.
Starngely it WILL play CDs and VCDs no problem.
A friend suggested that the DVD laser may have died.
Any suggestions ?
