There's nothing inherently inferior about DVD's that gives them shorter
lives. It's just that because they're a newer technology, not many
manufacturers can make their discs very well.
Buy Taiyo Yuden brand DVD+R's (DVD+R is better than DVD-R). You'll be
very happy. And no, I'm not a Taiyo Yuden shill. They are recommended by
the burning community at large.
