CUBAN BLOOD, DRIVE-IN MOVIE DOUBLE FEATURE: CREATION OF THE
HUMANOIDS/WAR BETWEEN THE PLANETS, THE FIFTH CORD, JUDAS PRIEST: LIVE
VENGEANCE '82, LURKING IN SUBURBIA, NUMB3RS: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON,
RUMOR HAS IT... (COMBO HD DVD AND STANDARD DVD), and STEPHEN
TOBOLOWSKY'S BIRTHDAY PARTY:
THE BACKYARDIGANS: SURF'S UP! (reviewed by David Johnson, overall
score 90/100):
"Just who are the Backyardigans? Extra-terrestrials? Mutated species?
Agents of the government? I don't know the answer. What I do know is
this: these little bastards love to sing and dance."

CUBAN BLOOD (reviewed by Michael Rankins, overall score 82/100):
"It's clear from the outset that the unnamed boy at the center of the
narrative is an avatar for the director himself. Gerard's nostalgia for
his childhood homeland reverberates in every lovingly captured scene, in
every colorful character, and in every reminiscence within the
narration."

DRIVE-IN MOVIE DOUBLE FEATURE: CREATION OF THE HUMANOIDS/WAR BETWEEN THE
PLANETS (reviewed by Erick Harper, overall score 74/100):
"Creation of the Humanoids presents a thinly-veiled commentary on race
relations and racism in the U.S., using the problems of the robots to
parallel the problems of black people from slavery to the present day."

THE FIFTH CORD (reviewed by Steve Evans, overall score 77/100):
"Giallo films emphasize style over substance, and shock effects over
coherent storytelling. The Fifth Cord is no exception. Better to ignore
all the false leads and red herrings that substitute for cleverness and
just marvel at the imagery, instead."

JUDAS PRIEST: LIVE VENGEANCE '82 (reviewed by Ryan Keefer, overall
score 73/100):
"It's almost as if someone had shaved Pat Robertson's head, taught him
how to sing, took him through an S & M leather bar of some sort, and
then put him out on tour with his friends."

LURKING IN SUBURBIA (reviewed by David Johnson, overall score 86/100):
"Lurking in Suburbia is a deep, funny look at a demographic that is
seldom explored: the post-collegiate, late 20s/early 30s male-at-a-
crossroads former frat boy. Where do these fascinating creatures end up
when the keg has run dry?"

NUMB3RS: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON (reviewed by Cynthia Boris, overall
score 95/100):
"On the surface, Numb3rs appears to be just another police procedural
series -- in this case, untold stories of the FBI. But take another look
and you'll see that the series is more about the characters and less
about the crime -- and that's the joy of Numb3rs."

RUMOR HAS IT... (COMBO HD DVD AND STANDARD DVD) (reviewed by Ryan
Keefer, overall score 74/100):
"This movie was just an exercise in redundant perceptions."

STEPHEN TOBOLOWSKY'S BIRTHDAY PARTY (reviewed by Brendan Babish, overall
score 90/100):
"Tobolowsky proves to be a wise, witty and nostalgic individual, and
those are exactly the sort of people you want to have over for your
dinner party. As an added bonus, Stephen Tobolowsky's Birthday Party
will probably never reach a wide audience. This means you can take
Tobolowsky's stories (and his brilliant gesticulations) and pass them
off as your own."
