I have several mp3 files that I'd like to join together to make a single
file with a new name. How does one do that? I'd also like to do the same
thing with several wav files, only in this case the final file must be
joined precisely, with no gap between the end of one file and the beginning
of the next.

I know how to SPLIT both mp3 and wav files, but I've never had occasion to
join them before.
