Greetings,
I've got a Sharp DV-SR45u and am having trouble recording from what
Sharp calls "an external source." In this case, it's my video camera
(8mm tape, not digital).
I followed the instruction manual's setup by plugging my video and
audio cables (output) from the camera into the dvd recorder's Line 2
input. I've got the recorder's output cables going into the tv. I
changed the channel on the recorder so it's on ch. 2 (to correspond
with the Line 2). When I push play on the camera, the picture comes
thru the dvd recorder all discombobulated, as if it's got a scramble on
it. When I plug the camera straight into the tv, it plays just fine.
It's when I introduce the dvd connection I get the scramble.
Since this is my own video camera etc., I wouldn't think there would be
any type of copyright protection or anything, but I wonder if that's
the problem. Or, do I have it connected wrong?
If anyone's gone thru this and came thru alive and well and with a dvd
complete, please let me know how you did it.
Thanks!
Danielle
