Well we see the extent of your woeful knowledge, do we not, Betamax is
still alive and well and until recently used by the BBC before they went
fully digital. And do you think Sony would fall foul of the format wars

There we go again with the made up bullshit, a PS3 is going to be 400.
My first DVD player was 380, that is the price you pay when you want to
buy something new.

Was DVD an "extension of" VHS??? No and thank fuck for that, this format
war is not gong to be decided by the people in the street, who are too
stupid to comprehend this, they will start buying them when they see them
on shelf in ASDA, format wars are decided by the pioneers who spend 500
on a machine, people with 42" glass plasmas and DTS home cinema. So your
little argument means frig all. As I don't care if the format isn't
backwards compatable, was my DVD player backwards compatable with my VHS?
What kind of argument is that? I want a format that is a million miles
away from the last format, I want it to be a total re-invention, not
something that is a step up from what is there now.
Your arguments are laughable, Warner Bros bottling it before the first
shot has been fired tells me this war is over, and you're in the wrong
camp, and this attempt at mis-information and denial is pityful, as all
you are doing is tricking people into wasting money on the wrong player,
give it up.
