Wait a minute, I never offered my services to begin with. Read my first
post and you will see no mention of offering my services. I am not
interested in editing anything for this individual. I was simply giving
a sane piece of advice that an ORIGINAL is always going to be better
quality than ANYTHING that has been processed. If you want to go by
specs and what manuals tell you, go right ahead. I know from
experience, that once a movie has been imported into a machine,
(whether it is trimmed or not is irrelevant), then you export it again,
it has been tampered and proccesed and will have some degredation. The
more you tamper it the more the degredation will be. The file then has
to be exported again onto a tape for further editing. The entire
process means that a machine is taking the information, analysing it,
interpreting it, and exporting it again. The computer will alter it and
the Dec will alter it some more. It is NOT original any more and will
be degraded. The amount depends on the amount of modifications made,
the software used, the machine used, etc. I gave a sane advice that if
you are going to pay some one (not me!) have them earn their money and
do the entire job for you instead of you messing with it. If you are
trying to read more into it, it is not my doing. If he can edit the
entire thing himself then more power to him.
