If that's a problem because there still aren't any dual-format players,
then *everybody* will still be snickering. Only the most die-hard
videophiles will buy both types of units, and because there will be two
player types supported by different studios, most other people will buy
*nothing*, although some might buy only the cheapest player because
that's the biggest investment.

DVD would be a horrible failure if it had been split into two different
technologies that could not be merged into a single player. HD movie
discs will also be a failure if this continues.
