Other people have a need for higher pricetags - they feel a great void
in their lives and need to fill it with the most useless high-priced
gear they can find. That their needs can be satisfied without having
to resort to the product with the highest pricetag means nothing. And
if highway robbery is good enough for %70 or %99.99 of the market, it
must be good enough for them.

Yes, that's the point youy've been trying to ignore throughout the
thread - all else really is extraneous - market considerations, market
share - the only thing that matters is the choice of the item that does
the most for the least cost, and that's the MP3-CD player. You have
yet to establish how iPod excels in any other category other than price
- extraneous has pretty much defined your side of the thread.
