While I would disagree with Nappy on Liquid (he has never used the
product, where is I own it), you might be able to pull this off. The key
word is "might". While Liquid is an excellent editor, DVD and titling
are not up to what some people would like. For me and the basic DVD
authoring I do, it is fine. There are those that need more and use other
programs (in addition to using Liquid).
http://vfwtech.com/Liquid/other_free_tutorials.htm Scroll down to the
DVD Authoring by Paul Mitton. It is about 37 minutes and will give you a
quick overview of using Liquid. Although it is for v6, it is basically
the same for v7.
http://tinyurl.com/h72hj for the link to the Avid Liquid forums with
messages about dvd authoring. Lots of reading there.

I went from Premiere 6.5 to Liquid 5.5 a couple of years ago. It took a
while to get used to the interface (although they have made it now with
Liquid v7 more "windows" standard), but once I did, I could not even
think of going back to Premiere. It has been for me a stable platform
with many features that others are just catching up to.
NLE software is a matter of personal preference. There will be those
that love this product or that. Me, I started editing with a/b roll on
an Amiga with a Video Toaster. Then went to DPS Editbay w/Video Action,
then Pinnacle DV500+ w/Premiere, now Avid Liquid. Each interface was
different. I learned them all and went to work.
While I would say try the demo dvd, you can get much info from the
tutorials on Pinnacle/Avid site.

look for the ones with Liquid Edition.
