Name *any* DVD that *ever* needed a firmware upgrade to play DVDs
correctly.

A standalone DVD recorder? Name them.

Did they need a firmware upgrade to keep the contents of the fridge *cool*?

That's the best rejoinder you got?

Okay, name the consumer products you own that required firmware upgrades to
work correctly.

I'm sorry, is that wrong somehow? Does Toshiba have more that two
different models of HD DVD players, and do those players have more than one
type of construction?

I'm sorry, they didn't have to release a firmware upgrade after their
product was released just so it would play what they said it would?

You weren't the target for the firmware upgrade then. Why were you eager
to upgrade the firmware anyway, if you thought nothing was wrong with your
machine?

And none of them were in order to fix problems the PSP had playing games,
but to increase functionality and remove "hacks" of the system.

No, Toshiba's a major player that released an incomplete product.

Except most of the time, ALL those iterations actually work, instead of
being in various states of disrepair.

So that excuses them for releasing a product that didn't work properly?
