I have seen most of the new HDV cameras.
I have shot with the Sony Z1u and it is a fine unit.
It all depends on your application. John Jackman writer for DV mag is
buying the JVC.
He likes it and it is a cool HDV camercoder. The codec for final cut
pro is not out yet. It is promissed soon. It is more film style than
the Z1U. Has a modest intetrchangable lens, but it costs 2K more. If I
had the money I would buy the Pansonic HVX200.
Then you can do anything, a commerical one day, a doc the next or shoot
a feature on the P2 cards. The look is fantastic.
