Re: Canon XL2 vs any other Camera DV Please Help

we agree so long as the make and model are exactly the same. always
remember that one has to go in and totally match settings on all those menu
items during set up, not doing so on one of the slightest of controls will
mean that the cameras are not set up the same and therefore may produced a
different image, that isn't the camera's fault, that's the operator.

we have four cameras in one application 3 of which are the same make and
model and one different. the three totally match "WHEN" . . ALL the
settings are the same. if one is different, the image is different under
certain circumstances, and it took us a bit to learn this. as for the
fourth camera in this scenario it is the same make but different model and
it took some getting used to in order to get the same image, but once
acheived, the same make and model from another set, runs and operates and
produces exactly the same image.

if your cameras aren't operating like the above, then you must have JVC's
because that was our experience with JVC trials and to a much lesser degree
the Sony brands. why? have absolutely NO IDEA, it puzzled all of us, but
perhaps the set up wasn't the same because of some small switch or setting
that we didn't know where they were on those cameras, however, the
panasonic's were simple to learn and easy (VERY EASY) to match the settings.

hope this helps.
