Interesting article in What Video this month.
Superbit DVDs have disappeared from the shelves because a combination of the
higher bitrates and upscaling players puts the quality very near hi-def and
the manufacturers want people to but 1000 HD players not 250 upscalers
with HDMI
I know goal is to get the best picture but if you are within a gnat's
knacker of HD for a quarter of the price then surely it's a compromise worth
taking
