I like buying true *refurbished* equipment.
"open-box" is NOT *refurbished*.
Refurbished is factory-sealed, just like brand-new.
(It is also factory waranteed, just like brand-new.)
I agree with "doc" that "open-box" is a can of worms.
(apologies for the mixed metaphor :-) Apparently one
of the reasons I don't shop at J&R.
