Are you referring to the problems Toshibas had in playing HD DVDs?

I was talking about the video discs, not any recordable format. And unless
holographic storage starts out at the same price point as Blu-Ray and HD
DVD are at that point, it won't blow them "out of the water."

And you know that Blu-Ray discs are less reliable? Where's the evidence?
