Many years ago I used to buy stuff from a builders merchant who would
deliver and get payment there and then. Sometimes he'd deliver and nobody
would be there. I told him he was a trusting guy and didn't he risk not
getting paid.
He told me it wasn't something he worried about. Anyone who didn't pay up
would get a free delivery of readymix cement, deposited at their house..
