I had the same problem with Premiere Pro 2, PP1 and Premiere Elements 2,
Can't run any of them on my new laptop which is a Toshiba Core Duo
research points to any REALTEK audio drivers on your maching if you have any
these may conflict with Premiere's new asio code
---- I haven't been able to solve this problem
I returned a maching very much like yours because the preview video out
kept cutting in and out ---- but it DID run...
