I hear you William Davis and to this end I chatted in a newsgroup with a
writer whom I will shortly mention wherein he and I sat up arguing late
hours over writing issues wherein I challenged his authority routinely as
you are doing to my so call BS by your term (when you don't like the truth
the author says, attack the man, not what he says) and thus I did as you say
attacked him routinely.

As it turned out one arguing Thursday night he was making some lewed
comments about skills and when I attached him much as you are me, I
challenged him to meet (privately outside the group) as I knew this no
identify man was within at least a 100 miles of me by nature of some of his
comments and location identities and thus he agreed.

When we met I thought he looked familiar but not sure then as I attacked him
he asked, "why do you attack me and not what I say?" and I responded that
he spoke as an authoritarian and that upset me because people would listen
to his crap whilst I felt they should also have a listen to what I had to
say, it was then that Stephen J. Cannell offered to buy the next round of
drinks when the waiter called him by name and inquired thusly; I felt like
a fool. Why my aspirations of writing were but mere dust on the end of his
pencil lead. His annomous nature in our group was certainly understood and
I would never ever reveal to anyone his true identity because after all as
he put it, "his credibility would immediately be taken as rule instead of
question, which is what all good writers should do, that is, question their
story and their reason for the story."

So, go ahead and attack me. Why? Because what I say rings to close to your
own experiences and you certainly wouldn't want anyone to know you failed?
Stephen said his greatest loss was when his least was published because he
didn't realize that the piece had any value and certainly not to him,
wherein he realized that he wasn't the expert he was thought of and had thus
failed. Which we did by buying Apple/Mac solutions. But I accept my loss
and losses and am man enough to simply move on to brighter and more exciting
days, to which we did with Windows, PC & Avid and will sing that song loud
and clear into eternity for as our techy whom you so proudly attack through
my words put it, "Let's get rid of the wrotten apples and move on." And
that we did!

Learn something guys from all this:

1. There are more Windows/PC users than there are Apple/Mac (by far) and
thus more complaints to be registered and/or heard.
2. Most Apple/Mac loosers keep their mouths shut in their losses because
they would have to admit failure and that takes a lot of guts which few have
(that's why there's only a few Marines and not a lot).
3. PC users are very very very very very big community with a lot of
solutions OUTSIDE the box of proprietary software and equipment
4. There are zillions of hardware and software PC solutions from proprietary
to 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and the numbers go on . . solutions (even from 10 year
olds)
5. The success stories are rarely told and if you are hearing them that's
reason for concern because the teller often has a reason (like sales
people).

"PC's/Avid because there's more successful stories that aren't told."
