Doc,
You're starting to lose me here.
Bill has repeatedly asked for some real credentials. What's holding
you back?
I'm glad you found a PC that can kick a G5's butt but as far as we know
you bought single processor 1.6 machines. I don't know of any machine
that can substantially exceed a Quad. I think we need not to be
comparing apples to oranges and since everything has been so vague we
don't know one way or the other.
Finally, you've made a statement that makes absolutely no sense. FCP
and Avid have no substantially different learning curve unless someone
is familiar with one and not the other. If anything, it is more
common that I hear FCP is more intuitive but regardless, it is my
belief that they are not substantially different. For you to say your
editor trained in 2 hours & change on Avid as opposed to 3 days for FCP
and still not enough to train your 2nd editor is simply not indicative
of anything I've EVER heard, including Avid editors who prefer Avid
over FCP.
Come on now - I know you have an axe to grind but there's something
else going on here and I really can't continue when you say things that
are so diametrically opposed to anything I've ever heard from anyone
else, one newsgroup troll excluded.
