Hi,
 I have a AG-456 and a AG450 that I use with an MX50a to do live
recordings of bands and small events. Being that I do live switching, I
 do little post editing. (Vegas).

I usually use these 2 cams and run s-video to the mx-50a and then
s-video out to a DVD Recorder. I use dedicated mics for audio.

I am wondering how the AG-DVC7 compares to the AG-456.

Any major advantages other than digital tape?

When I'm ready to switch to heavy post editing, I'll go for a 3 ccd
 cam.

Being that I record direct to DVD,

does anyone think it's worth it to replace the AG-400 Series with the
 entry level AG-DVC7?

 Thanks.
 LJ
