I recently game across the following two items on e-Bay:

http://cgi.ebay.ca/Star-Wars-Beginning-1-2-3-SUPERBIT-DVD-DELUXE-BOX-SET_W0QQitemZ130002772664QQihZ003QQcategoryZ41575QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
http://cgi.ebay.ca/Star-Wars-Trilogy-4-5-6-SUPERBIT-DVD-DELUXE-BOX-SET-New_W0QQitemZ130002773850QQihZ003QQcategoryZ41575QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

In case you can't see these for some reason, they claim to be
"authentic", "original", and a "very rare promotional release" of Star
Wars, episodes I through VI, in Superbit(TM) format. I'm skeptical
about this, for a number of reasons. First of all, it's claimed that
these DVDs are region free. I have little doubt that this is so, but I
doubt that an "authentic original" release would be released this way.
Also, I see no mention at all anywhere on the web of "Star Wars" being
released in Superbit format. Thirdly, isn't Superbit a
Sony/Columbia/Tristar series, and isn't Star Wars distributed by Fox?
Waddya think about the legitimacy of these DVDs?
