I agree that blaming a postal delay in your case would be lying. However,
perhaps the clerks are instructed to put one of the "double arrivals" to the
side and get back to it later (or it goes to another department to find out
when / why this happened)

I mean, in all fairness to them, you are not sending it back the way they
intend. It's easy to sit here and assume it's as simple as scanning them
both in, but maybe it isn't (from spending many years in business for
myself, I have learned not to assume anything is as simple as it appears,
especially when it comes to a business model)

Can't say I disagree in principle. But for everyone that has a heavy month,
there are likely 100 that don't. So it's worth it to them (or any business,
really) to advertise like that.
