Hi.
I've tried many playlist generators, but none of them let me perform
the following...
I have several folders containing MP3's, sometimes on different drives.
For bands with a single album, I use the following folder structure:
Alien Ant Farm - Up in the Attic
Blue October - Foiled
Gorillaz - Demon Days
Rufus Wainwright - Want One
....
For bands with numerous albums, I use the following folder structure:
Eros Ramazzotti
Calma apparente
Stilelibero
Pink Floyd
Astronomy Domine
The Wall
Wish You Were Here
....
In the first structure, if first the band name is prefixed with "-",
then the album must be excluded. So M3U generated.
In the second structure, if the band name is prefixed by "-", then the
whole structure must be excluded. If only one album (subdir) is
preceded by "-", then only that album must be excluded.
I know I could use the first structure for everything, as follows...
Alien Ant Farm - Up in the Attic
Blue October - Foiled
Gorillaz - Demon Days
Rufus Wainwright - Want One
Eros Ramazzotti - Calma apparente
Eros Ramazzotti - Stilelibero
Pink Floyd - Astronomy Domine
Pink Floyd - The Wall
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
But there would be repetitions in the band names. Which I find nagging.
The end result should be one M3U playlist per album (except the "-"
ones), all put in a single directory.
So I need a program thout would either (a) scan each folder in the
structure and generate an M3U there; or create a master list
(folder-transient) of all MP3's, and generate M3U's out of the correct
entries.
Anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks!
