Let me re-insert the part of my message that you conveniently left out:

The only way *either* disc was scanned was by opening the envelope. At
that point, both discs would have been scanned.

I tried it that way, too. Two discs dropped in separate envelopes, and
arrival scan times three *days* apart, all at the Albany, NY, service
center.
