LD didn't push the kinds of sales that these new formats need to push to be
considered successes, and probably make back the money dumped into them at
this point. Laserdisc was a niche tech by design. It didn't have the bar
set where HD-Ray has it set, so it's success would be a HD-Ray failure.
Why is that so hard for you to understand? Or, is it even? Perhaps you
just are one of those nerds that jumps on each and every possible
opportunity to make yourself look savvy hoping one day it will stick? What?
