I'm sorry, but you could not buy many things on DVD today that had
the care that went into some of the releases you are talking about.

Take "The Wizard of Oz" for example. The LD was $99 for the
Criterion release, and the El Cheapo today comes nowhere close to it.
Now, the high end WoO version is even better than the LD was, but it
isn't $20 either.

You can't shit your way out of this one just cause you panhandle.

I can afford the few dollars extra for the HD DVD. I already get
discounts at Amazon that get them to me at nearly the old DVD prices
already! Nyaaa Nyaa Nyaa Nyaa NYAAA!

So it isn't "stuff you can buy on DVD nowadays for $20". Get a life.
