You're an idiot.

Funny, I don't recall spending tens of thousands of dollars.

You forgot stone tablets, and cave painting. Also, ther was wire
recording, then magnetic particle tape, then metallized tape, then
video hit us with helically scanned recording. VHS and Beta.

Guess what, dumbfuck... those were NOT every consumer's item when
they came out either. Only some of us keep up. You obviously do not.
You need to stop pissing and moaning about it here, however.

Fred is a bigger piece of shit than you are.

My first Laser Disc player lasted 18 years. The fault is with the
electrolytic caps that dry up inside, and that has always been a
problem with electronic products, dumbass.

You're an idiot. I have given away older model DVD players that I
owned to folks that didn't have one. For some of us, electronics is
ubiquitous. With Laser Disc money was tighter back then, and folks
made less, so I made sure the disc I purchased was one a really
wanted. Now, I can buy DVD or even HD DVDs sight unseen, and if it is
a movie I don't like (Battlefield Earth), I can always give it to
someone else as a gift.

I will have had many "newer, shinier, more expensive" items in my
life, while you will have done no more than masturbate through life
relishing nothing by the end. I also make more each year so, "more
expensive" is a little vague. My bicycle was $1000 and it is pretty
much bottom of the line. Smooth as glass, however. Much better than
the $300 Costco cheapy.

Next thing you'll tell me is that a carbon fiber $4000 bicycle like
those Lance rides are "niche" items. You'd have a hard time
convincing bike shops and manufacturers like TREK of that NON-fact,
however.

So you sit on a stick and spin, 'cause that's all you're good for.
I'm going to LIVE my life.
