Dumbfuck. Laser Discs came out in 1981. REAL HARDWARE.
The 286 was in 1982.
HDTV as a hard item wasn't even considered by manufacturers earlier
on because it was not even feasible to produce it, much less feed it a
valid signal.
Are you aware of the telecine process? It too has evolved.
So find a site where you can buy a clue.
