Normally a digital transfer would be the best option, as you have no
conversion in between.
In the case of capturing: it is said however that if you have greenscreen
footage, it is helpful to capture this via component, as this reduces the
compression-artifacts a bit. You would need to capture to a higher quality
codec on your computer then. I had the pleasure only once to try and verify
this, and it seemed that the keys were slightly better. However the footage
was in a bad state, so, hard to tell whether I was more lucky when trying
to key the material the second time from the component-captured version.
