I'm the American . . . comments posted in between.

That's find for you -- not so fine for most other countries.

Very good. I've never accused them of being dishonest. I rather
suspect their payment provider (Chronopay) or a hacker, or maybe an
isolated dishonest employee. As I indicated, the percentage of people
with complaints is low, but a consistent story is told among those who
HAVE had problems. Basically, they paid AOMP3 with credit cards
(ostensibly going through Chronopay) and then had fraudulent charges
posted to their accounts, and investigation indicated the card numbers
came from a source in Russia.

Interesting that CREDIT CARDS are listed on their site along with XROST
as the only methods of payment they accept.

The XROST service does NOT redirect one to a new URL, whether that's
Chronopay or something else.

I'm not angry at AOMP3 -- I simply want to pressure them to allow a
secure and anonymous method to provide payment.

It WAS shaken down by the Russian cops who almost certainly got paid
off. But you're also probably right that it IS entirely legal in
Russia. I have no issue with that. And I PERSONALLY have no issue with
using the service, AS LONG AS WHAT I'M DOING IS RECEIVING MUSIC FOR
WHICH I'VE ALREADY PAID, as I explained in my post. Otherwise, I
consider it to be unethical and I won't personally indulge in it.

For the benefit of others who look down their nose at those who PAY for
stuff that they can pirate for free via P2P software . . . the stuff you
can download for free is mostly 128Kbit stuff, is quite limited, and
often poor quality even when it's 192Kbit or better. If that's what you
like, that's fine, but I happen to be choosier and don't mind paying a
bit for good downloads. But I'm certainly NOT going to pay with a
credit card, and neither should anyone else.
