Hi Don and others,
.....does this mean I have to have that computer set to "Specify an IP
address:"...
Or, can I leave it set to: "Obtain an IP address automatically"?

Open (forward) ports in your router and firewall(s) for WinMX to use: one
port for TCP and
another for UDP. Be sure to specify those same port numbers in WinMX. In
case you're
unable to open ports, run WinMX in firewalled mode.
Your share list is sent to primaries on WPN or servers on OpenNap, thus your
files may
show up in search/browse and users may request downloads. However, if their
computer is
unable to connect to yours for a transfer, the attempt times out.
