Bullshit. You are NOT allowed to copy your purchased copyrighted
work, or obtain a copy from someone else for the purpose of giving
said copy to someone else, or benefitting from someone else's copy
yourself.
You couldn't be more full of shit. Fair Use WAS about making an
archival copy of a magnetic tape which was degradable. It explicitly
states that giving away copies is NOT permitted. You would even have
to loan the original to a brother or sister. The archival copy (or
the original) is what you place in your safe vault as insurance
against said degradation or fire loss. PERIOD.
