It lacked something. Bits of the movie seemed cut and disjointed. There
were scenes that should have been in the movie. Some of of Super mans action
never made sense, in particular anything to do with Kryptonite.

How in fucks name did he manage to life that island made out of kryptonite ?
When he was already wounded.
Whose kid is that ? Clarks or Super mans ?
Did he at the end create a new krypton at the end by hurling that island
into space.
Why did cyclops not use his optical blasts at any point.
Who is more boring cyclops or Super man ?.
