 I don't know why you are fussing so. About the only thing that's going to
 recognize your DVD-RAM recording is the Panasonic DVD/HDD itself. Record
 back to the Panasonic HDD and then burn a DVD-R.
 
 You don't say what format the Panasonic is, PAL, NTSC or SECAD, or if it's
 multiple. In any case, if you start from a DVD-R you're going to have more
 choices and being digital you shouldn't lose much quality. Denzil.
