I have permission to do some significant modification to someone's
previous production. But, now what? It is a documentary with lots of
historic footage, and it seems to me, if I have to get all the
approvals for use of the images, I might as well just start from
scratch. However, it does seem to me highly unlikely that any of the
use rights would transfer. Anyone been in a similar situation?
