Re: pushy wedding videographer

Five years ago, my general impression was that at least some couples
wanted the videographer to be as unobtrusive as possible, so as not to
disturb the general flow of the ceremony and reception. In the last
year or so, I've noticed more and more couples want a good video, and
are less concerned about obtrusiveness. In fact, I was suprised at a
rehearsal last year when a couple indicated they would change the
ceremony to accommodate a problem I was having with lighting.

The oddity is that one of the best wedding videos I ever did was shot in
the most unobtrusive way. A balcony helps, but I also went hand-held
even with a lot of zoom.
