Yep, I see your point, but the extras it offers are worth it to me :
DVD-Audio and SACD
DivX licence
Upsampling to 720p or 1080i
Component out
HMDI out
Plays audio CDs a damn sight better than the last unit I had !
And yes, about £300 ish.
