Dolby Digital 1.0 specifically directs all audio to the front center
channel. Dolby Digital 2.0 mono directs an equal signal to both of the
front left and right speakers simultaneously. With ProLogic decoding,
that 2.0 signal is matrixed into the center front channel. The net
effect is identical. Neither is preferred over the other.
