I have had an CD based mp3 player for a couple of years and I'm quite
used to copying albums from my hard disk to a CD it to listen to. I
decided to "upgrade" to a flash based mp3 player (more capacity
etc.).
I enjoy operas and the CD based player quite happily played them in
order of numbered original file name - 01 Overture, 02 recitativo 03
aria etc.
When I drag the folders, one per opera, over to my new flash based
player I've found that it plays the tracks out of order.
For instance on my favourite Magic Flute (von Karajan) I get the 01
Overture first then track 09 then 20 then 02! (Using Zortam Mp3 Media
Studio I've copied the filenames to the ID3 'title' tag so they're in
numbered order as well but with the same result.)
I've racked my brains about this and cannot get the flash-based
player to play 01, 02 etc.
I think I'm missing some fundamental principle here everyone else
seems to be aware of. Could someone kindly point out where I'm going
wrong?
